The uptick in use of QR codes during the pandemic piqued my interest since these square codes resembles weavings. Inspired, I created archetype weavings of some of the many recognized and unrecognized heroes of the pandemic.

An archetype is considered a ‘model’ or ‘first form’ of which all other things are based. The people in these weavings tell stories that vary widely ranging from issues around race and class, food sustainability, art, scientific innovations, and climate adaptation.

These heroes emerged, during this incredibly trying time in history, and their selfless efforts and inspiring contributions deserve to be celebrated.
