Accessible only by boat or plane, Gustavos
is further isolated by the pandemic. Toshua has taken matters into his own hands. He collects orders from locals and pilots his 96-foot barge on a seven-hour trip to Juneau’s only Costco. His love of the town and its residents, honest business practices, and proactive efforts have single-handedly sustained this remote community.
