Transcendients: 100 Days of COVID-19

Day 41: Cheyanne Sauter

Art Share LA is the only 100-percent affordable housing building in the Arts District, providing equitable access to artists and giving them a place to live, work, develop, perform, and exhibit. In response to the COVID-19 crisis, Sauter sprang into action to develop programming opportunities for emerging and under- served artists, as a means to earn a living. A virtual platform for showcasing work and selling art went up quickly. During the pandemic, the organization has accessible daily programming and offers resources to cushion the immense psychological blow suffered by the Los Angeles art community.
