Recently, Patrick acquired St. Vincent Medical Center in Los Angeles, which will be reopened as the Los Angeles Surge Hospital through a partnership with Kaiser Permanente and Dignity Health. The state is leasing this facility as California prepares for a potential surge in COVID-19 patients. He announced he would establish a coronavirus research facility at the hospital.
