Transcendients: 100 Days of COVID-19
DAY 75: AS NEVER BEFORE, GLOBAL COLLABORATION
Yesterday was Father’s Day. I created this weave thinking of my father, a research scientist, who dedicated his life to the advancement of medicine. Since this pandemic broke out, many articles have praised the collaborative spirit among scientists around our world. There are strict protocols in the scientific community
for publishing and citing discoveries. Not until now have protocols been lifted in the urgent quest for a vaccine.
I had the privilege of talking the other day with Ayis Antoniou, Administrative Director of the Wyss Institute, known worldwide and affiliated with Harvard University. He explained that the institute has pivoted its research to COVID-19 exclusively: just one example of the collective global goal.
